Flag Of Korea
(Tae Kuk Ki)

The central symbol is often refered to as the yin, yang. It consists of a circle divided in two equal parts which blend into one another. The upper part, in red, represents the Yang and the lower, in blue, represents the Um, an ancient symbol of the universe. The two express opposite duolism between any of the Earth's elements; water and earth, masculin and female. There is a constant movement in the balance which only over eternity can there be perfect balance. This is balance and harmony.

The Korean flag represents a lot of the symbolism that

the Orient gives to life. The symbol, and sometimes

the flag itself, is called the "Tae Geug".
